IMPORTANT: DO NOT disconnect the battery to clear continuous memory codes. This will erase the Keep Alive Memory (KAM) information and may cause driveability symptoms.

HOW TO CLEAR CODES

Data Link Connector (DLC):

CONTINUOUS MEMORY CODES
Perform the Key On Engine Off (KOEO) self test. When the codes begin to be displayed, deactivate the self test by disconnecting the ground wire from the STI connector. The continuous memory codes are now erased from the computer's memory.

ON DEMAND (HARD) CODES
On demand (hard) codes are not stored in the continuous memory and are automatically cleared at the end of every self-test.
