Removal

1. Remove steering column lower bearing retainer.






2. Suitably support steering actuator housing and tap out steering column tube bearing with a hammer and a drift.

Installation

1. Inspect steering column tube bearing sleeve. Replace if damaged.






2. Position steering column tube bearing sleeve in steering actuator housing.






3. Press in the new steering column tube bearing with thumb pressure until seated. Slot between inner and outer races should out from the steering column lower bearing retainer.






4. Install steering column lower bearing retainer on steering actuator housing.
