Cabin Air Filter / Purifier: Service and Repair






REMOVAL

NOTE: The windshield wiper arms must be positioned away from the cowl vent screen to access the pollen filter. This can be accomplished by switching the ignition switch OFF when the cycling wipers are at the top of their arc on the windshield.

1. Position wiper arms away from cowl vent screen.

Cowl Vent Screen:





2. Remove plastic screw covers and three top screws retaining RH half of cowl vent screen.
3. Pull release handle and lift hood.

Hood Pad:





4. Pull hood pad straight up away from cowl vent screen.

Cowl Vent Screen:





5. Remove three side screws retaining RH half of cowl vent screen.
6. Remove RH half of cowl vent screen from vehicle.
7. Disengage clips retaining pollen filter cover.

Pollen Filter:





8. Remove cover and filter from vehicle, and remove filter from cover.

INSTALLATION
1. Install filter, properly positioned, into cover.
2. Install filter and cover to cowl, and engage two retaining clips.
3. Install cowl vent screen and three side retaining screws.
4. Install hood pad.
5. Close hood.
6. Install three top screws and plastic screw covers to cowl vent screen.
7. Switch ignition ON and park wipers.
