G11 Test For Intermittent Low Resistance Wire Fault

NOTE: Turn the speaker or beeper of the Rotunda 88 Digital Multimeter 105-00053 on to help indicate any large change in the state of continuity as the drive is performed.

- Set up Rotunda 88 Digital Multimeter 105-00053 to measure resistance between breakout box Pins 29 and 37. Resistance between 3-6 ohms indicates a normal condition.

- A drive over rough road and through a car wash is recommended. Resistance under 3 ohms is capable of causing this concern.

- Is an intermittent low resistance (under 3 ohms) found?

YES -- Find and repair cause of low resistance in the wiring along Circuit 499 (GY/BK) or in associated connectors at the HCU or antilock brake control module. Go to G13 to verify concern is resolved. G13 Verify Concern Is Resolved

NO -- Go to G12. G12 Conclude Intermittent Diagnosis
