K12 Inspect Left Front Brake Sensor For Hidden Damage
- Remove the left front brake antilock sensor from the front left wheel end.- Inspect the plastic housing carefully for stress cracks or breaks.
- Inspect the left front brake antilock sensor connector cavity for evidence of water entry, pin corrosion, or excessive debris.
- Are any of the above found?
YES -- left front brake antilock sensor housing damage is found. Inspect left front brake antilock sensor harness routing for excessive tightness or any obvious sources or stress on the sensor. Correct as necessary. Replace left front brake antilock sensor. Go to K16.
YES -- water intrusion or pin damage is found. Replace both halves of the 2-pin connector assembly. Clean left front brake antilock sensor terminals as necessary. Pack left front brake antilock sensor connector cavity with dielectric grease. Go to K16. K16 Verify Concern Is Resolved
NO -- Go to K13. K13 Check Intermittent LF Brake Sensor Coil/Internal Fault
