M3 Repeatability Drive Test (Mismatched Output)

NOTE: Recording the speeds for later plotting will eliminate the necessity of monitoring the New Generation Star (NGS) tester while driving.

CAUTION: If a hard turn is made, some variation between all three sensors is expected. However, the rear axle speed signal should always fall between the left and right front speed signals.

- Use the New Generation Star (NGS) tester to monitor all three wheel speeds. Drive vehicle at various speeds.

- Does the speed signal from the right front brake antilock sensor consistently match the signals from the left front brake antilock sensor and the vehicle speed sensor?

YES -- Concern is intermittent. Go to M11. M11 Begin Intermittent Diagnosis

NO -- the speed signal is different than the speed signals from left front brake antilock sensor and vehicle speed sensor. Damaged right front brake antilock sensor indicator or marginal air gap issue has been detected and is repeatable. Go to M4. M4 Check Right Front Brake Antilock Sensor Indicator
