EGR Valve: Service and Repair

EGR System:

REMOVAL
^ Remove the air cleaner outlet tube.
^ Disconnect the EGR valve sensor wire harness at EGR valve sensor.
^ Disconnect the EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube from EGR valve and vacuum hose.
^ Remove EGR valve retainer bolts and EGR valve from upper intake manifold.
^ Remove EGR valve gasket. Clean residue from upper intake manifold gasket surface.

INSTALLATION
^ To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube nut 34-47 Nm (25-35 ft lb).
