DT1.6 Determine Next Diagnostic Step Based on Brake Symptom

^ Hard or soft brake pedal.

^ Lack of sufficient vehicle deceleration upon brake application.

^ Vehicle pulls during braking and pump motor does not run.

^ Are any of the above symptoms present?

YES -- Go to symptom chart.

NO -- Concern is not in the ABS system. Perform base brake system diagnostics. Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
