Ignition Coil Pack
REMOVAL1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect fuel charging wiring from coil pack.
3. Remove spark plug wire sets by squeezing locking tabs to release coil boot retainers.
4. On vehicles equipped with air conditioning, remove air conditioning tube-to-plenum bolt and move tube enough to gain access to upper coil pack bolts.
5. Remove coil pack mounting screws and remove coil pack.
INSTALLATION
1. Install coil pack and mounting screws. Tighten screws to 5-7 Nm (44-62 in lb).
2. On vehicles equipped with air conditioning, reposition air conditioning tube and secure with bolt to top of plenum.

3. Connect spark plug wire sets and connect fuel charging wiring to coil pack.
4. Connect negative battery cable.
NOTE: When the battery has been disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 miles) or more to relearn the strategy.
