Safety Belt, Lap/ShoulderEnergy Absorbing Sew Pattern
The short plastic boot on the front safety belt at the outboard anchor location on some vehicles (2-door, passenger; 4-door, passenger) covers an energy absorbing sew pattern on the safety belt.
WARNING: FAILURE TO REPLACE THE SAFETY BELT ASSEMBLY UNDER THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS COULD RESULT IN SEVERE PERSONAL INJURIES IN THE EVENT OF A COLLISION.
In the event of an accident, sew pattern may release, and the colored REPLACE BELT label may become visible. If this occurs, the safety belt, retractor and the safety belt buckle must be replaced.
