This TSB is being republished in its entirety to correct the parts listed in the Parts Block.

ISSUE:
The transmission internal wiring harness and fluid pan were revised on 11/30/95. The new harness will not properly fit with the old fluid pans.

ACTION:
When replacing an internal wiring harness on 4R44E/4R55E transmissions built before 11/30/95 with a new harness (F5TZ-7Z409-B), the fluid pan must be replaced also. Failure to change over or convert the fluid pan may result in a transmission fluid leak or a damaged wiring harness. Refer to the Parts Block for the correct part numbers.
