Vibration When Brakes Are Applied -- Front Brakes
POSSIBLE SOURCE:
- Loose lug nuts.
- Tighten to 190 Nm (140 ft lb). Replace wheel if stud holes are elongated.
NOTE: Torque specs are for clean, dirt and paint free, dry bolt and nut threads. Never use oil or grease on studs or nuts.
- Cracked front disc brake rotor.
- Replace front disc brake rotor.
- Front disc brake rotor out-of-round or improper machining.
- Machine front disc brake rotor or Replace as required.
- Excessive front disc brake rotor runout.
- Replace front disc brake rotor.
- Excessive front disc brake rotor thickness variation.
- Replace front disc brake rotor.
- Worn or improperly adjusted wheel bearings.
- Adjust or Replace wheel bearings as required.
- Loose or worn front suspension components.
- Tighten loose components to specifications. Replace worn or damaged components.
- Excessive radial or lateral runout on wheel and tire assembly.
- Adjust tire or wheel to eliminate excessive runout or Replace tire and/or wheel as required.
