Front
1. Remove approximately two-thirds of the brake fluid from the brake master cylinder.2. Raise and support the vehicle.
3. Remove the wheel and tire assembly.
Pry Disc Caliper Open:
4. Using an appropriate tool, pry the front disc brake caliper open.
Move Brake Hose Out Of The Way:
CAUTION: Position the front brake hose out of the way of the front disc brake caliper casting to avoid damaging the front brake hose.
5. Remove the brake caliper bolt. Pivot the front disc brake caliper UPWARDS. Slide the front disc brake caliper off the guide pin.
Support Disc Brake Caliper On Coil Spring:
6. Using a piece of wire, support the front disc brake caliper from the front coil spring.
7. Remove the two anti-rattle springs.
8. Remove the shims. Tag the shims so they can be reinstalled in their original positions.
Remove Brake Shoes And Linings:
CAUTION: Use care to prevent damage to the front disc brake caliper piston dust cover.
9. Remove the brake shoes and linings from the front disc brake caliper anchor plate. Remove the two clips.
