ECT1 - Sensor Resistance

- Run engine until coolant reaches temperatures specified in Data Sheet. ECT Circuit Data

- Monitor temperature at ECT sensor using Rotunda Digital Thermo Pyrometer 055-00100 or equivalent.

- Key OFF.

- Install Breakout Box (leave PCM disconnected).

- Measure the resistance between BOB Test pin ECT and GND.

- Are the resistance values within specified ranges shown on the Data Sheet?

Yes -- ECT circuit OK.

If directed here from Component Verification Test, Return to Diagnostic Routines. Testing and Inspection

Otherwise, Replace the PCM.

No -- Go to ECT2. ECT2 - ECT Circuit
