Speed Control Servo
Removal
Speed Control Servo Rotor:
1. Remove battery
2. Remove christmas tree connector retaining harness main wiring. Position out of way.
3. Remove two bolts that mount speed control servo to left-hand apron on vehicle.
NOTE: Do not remove clips from apron.
4. Unclip speed control actuator from two clips located on left-hand apron.
5. Disconnect speed control module connector.
6. Lift and remove speed control servo from left-hand apron.
7. Disconnect speed control actuator at throttle body.
8. Depress locking arm on speed control actuator cap and rotate counterclockwise while lifting upward.
9. Insert a small screwdriver in locking spring. Gently pry back spring and remove cable slug from servo pulley.
10. Remove three screws from speed control servo and remove bracket from servo.
Installation
1. Attach bracket to speed control servo with three screws. Tighten to 6-7 Nm (53-62 lb-in).
NOTE: Make sure rubber seal is fully seated on actuator cable cap.
2. Attach speed control actuator to speed control servo.
3. Attach speed control actuator to throttle body.
4. Install speed control servo with two bolts. Tighten to 5.2-7.2 Nm (46-63 lb-in).
5. Connect speed control module and connector.
6. Attach speed control actuator to two clips on left-hand apron.
7. Attach main wiring to left-hand apron.
NOTE: When the battery has been disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the powertrain control module (PCM) relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 miles) or more to relearn the strategy.
8. Install battery.
