A1-A6

A1 Verify Power To Speed Control Servo
- Disconnect 14290 harness connector from speed control servo.
- Turn ignition switch to RUN.
- With a Rotunda Digital Multimeter 105-00050 or equivalent, measure voltage between Pin 7 (B+, Circuit 298 (P/O) and Pin 10 (GND, Circuit 57 [BK]).
- Is there battery voltage?

Yes

No
SERVICE ignition fuse 30 in engine compartment fuse or circuit 298 (P/O) as required.

A3 Check Speed Control Servo Ground Circuit
- Measure resistance between Pin 10 (GND, Circuit 57 [BK]) and a ground point on the chassis.
- Is resistance less than one ohm?

Yes
REPEAT Step A1.
No
SERVICE ground Circuit 57 (BK).

A4 Check Deactivator Switch Circuit
- Leave ignition switch in RUN.
- With no brakes applied, place a 12 Volt Circuit Test Light between Pin 9 (Circuit 535 [LB/R]) and Pin 10 (GND, Circuit 57 [BK]).
- Is the light illuminated?

Yes

A5 Verify Power At Deactivator Switch Harness Connector
- Remove 14401 harness connector from deactivator switch.
- Place 12 Volt Circuit Test Light between Circuit 298 (P/O) of deactivator switch connector and chassis ground.
- Is the light illuminated?

Yes
GO to A6
No
SERVICE blown fuse 11 or open Circuit 298 (P/O).

A6 Check For Open Circuit Between Deactivator Switch And Speed Control Servo
- Measure resistance of Circuit 535 (LB/R) from deactivator switch connector to Pin 9 of speed control servo connector.
- Is resistance less than 1 ohm?

Yes
REPLACE deactivator switch.
No
SERVICE open Circuit 535 (LB/R) in harness.
