Blower Motor Switch: Service and Repair



1. Disconnect battery ground cable (14301).
2. Remove knob from heater blower motor switch (18578). Pull the knob firmly.
3. Remove receptacle bezel with a small-bladed screwdriver.
4. Remove the wire harness hard shell connector from the heater blower motor switch by lifting the snap-lock retainer with a screwdriver and pulling on the connector.




5. Remove the heater blower motor switch.

NOTE: When the battery (10655) has been disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the powertrain control module (PCM)( 12A650) relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 10 miles or more to relearn the strategy.

6. To install, reverse removal procedure.
