Installation

INSTALLATION

1. Position the auxiliary heater and air conditioning assembly in the vehicle. Guide the heater water hoses through the floor grommet. Install the retaining screws and securely tighten.
2. Remove plugs from the A/C refrigerant lines.
3. Connect the two A/C refrigerant couplings.
4. Install the lower air recirculation air and heater extension air ducts and secure with retaining screws.
5. Install the two LH body side trim panels.
6. Connect the mode door vacuum control motor vacuum line (LTIGN) connector.
7. Connect the auxiliary heater and air conditioning assembly main harness electrical connector.
8. Connect the rear seat remote radio control electrical connector (if equipped).
9. Connect the cigar lighter electrical connectors.
10. Connect the blower motor control switch lamp connector.
11. Connect the blower motor resistor electrical connector.
12. Connect the blower motor control switch electrical connector.
13. Position the auxiliary heater and air conditioning service panel in the LH body side trim panel and install the three push pin retainers.
14. Install the rear passenger seating.
15. Raise the vehicle.
16. Connect the heater water hoses to the heater water pipes coming from the front of the vehicle.
17. Lower the vehicle.
18. Evacuate and charge the A/C system.
NOTE: When the battery (10655) has been disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the powertrain control module (PCM) 12A650) relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 10 miles to relearn the strategy.
19. Connect the battery ground cable.
20. Refill the engine cooling system.
