EGR Valve: Service and Repair

EGR Valve:

REMOVAL
^ Remove EGR transducer and EGR vacuum regulator bracket.
^ Disconnect EGR valve emission vacuum control hose and EGR pressure valve sensor hose from EGR valve.
^ Disconnect EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube from EGR valve.
^ Remove EGR valve retainer screw and washer, retainer stud and washer and the EGR valve from upper intake manifold.
^ Remove EGR valve gasket and clean residue from upper intake manifold sealing surface.

INSTALLATION
^ To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten EGR valve retainer screw and washer and retainer stud and washer to 20-30 Nm (15-22 ft lb). Tighten EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube nut to 34-47 Nm (25-35 ft lb).
