Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

^ Check the alternator pulley (10344) for looseness on the alternator rotor shaft and for cracks or other damage. Replace any alternator pulley that is loose, cracked or bent.

^ Check the front and rear housings for cracks, particularly in the webbed areas at the mounting ear. Replace a damaged or cracked housing.
