Steering: Service and Repair
1. Disconnect fluid power steering return hose at power steering pump and place end in suitable container.2. Plug power steering return hose on power steering oil reservoir.
3. Fill power steering oil reservoir with suitable power steering fluid.
4. Disconnect ignition coil wire, then raise and support front wheels.
5. While adding approximately 1/2 gallon of fluid, turn ignition switch to Start position and crank engine while turning steering wheel from lock to lock.
6. When all fluid has been added, turn ignition switch to Off position and connect ignition coil wire.
7. Remove plug from power steering reservoir return hose and torque hose clamp to 8-24 in lb.
8. Start engine and turn steering wheel slowly from lock to lock several times.
9. Check fluid level and adjust as required.
