A/C Cyclic Switch

Removal

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.

2. Disconnect the wire connector from the A/C cycling switch.

3. Unscrew the A/C cycling switch from the suction accumulator/drier.

Installation

1. Install a new 0-ring lubricated with clean refrigerant oil in the accumulator nipple.

2. Screw the A/C cycling switch on the accumulator nipple. Hand-tighten the A/C cycling switch.

3. Connect the wire connector to the A/C cycling switch.

4. NOTE: When the battery has been disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the powertrain control module (PCM) relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 miles) or more to relearn the strategy.

Connect battery ground cable.

5. Check the system for proper operation.
