L6 Resolve Inconsistent Air Gap Concern

- Remove the rotor and inspect the left front brake Antilock sensor indicator/hub mounting surface. Verify the left front brake Antilock sensor indicator is pressed straight and fully onto the hub. Correct before proceeding.

- Reinstall the rotor.

- Verify wheel end play is within allowable limits. Correct as necessary.

- Measure the air gap between the left front brake Antilock sensor and front brake Antilock sensor indicator. Repeat in at least two more wheel positions to ensure that gap does not vary as the wheel is turned.

NOTE: Feeler gauges can be mounted to a welding rod and inserted between the vanes of the rotor to measure air gap precisely.

- Is the gap consistent and less than 0.070 inch?

YES -- Go to L5. L5 Recheck Left Front Brake Antilock Sensor Output

NO -- gap is greater than 0.070 inch. Air gap is too large. Go to L4. L4 LT Front ABS /Left Front ABS Sensor Air Gap

NO -- gap is not consistent. Repeat L6.
