Arm/Disarm Switch: Testing and Inspection
DOOR DISARM SWITCHMeasure door lock cylinder switch resistance using Rotunda Digital Volt-Ohmmeter 014-00407 or equivalent, with key removed from the door lock cylinder. The resistance should be more than 25,000 ohms.
Measure the door lock cylinder switch resistance with the key rotated 45 degrees from center of travel in the unlock direction in the driver door. The resistance should be less than 200 ohms, and should remain less than 200 ohms when the key is fully rotated to the end of travel in the unlock direction.
Repeat test for unlocked position for passenger and rear door.
Replace a door lock cylinder not meeting specification.
