Hood Sensor/Switch (For Alarm): Testing and Inspection

HOOD SWITCH

Disconnect anti-theft alarm control and measure the resistance between Pin C1-5 and Pin C2-26 at the anti-theft alarm control wiring harness connector. The resistance should be more than 25,000 ohms when the hood (16612) is closed. The resistance should be less than 200 ohms when the hood is unlatched or open. If not, service Circuit 486 (BR 1W), Circuit 57 (Bk) or replace the hood anti-theft switch.
