^ NOISE - WINDNOISE - WINDNOISE AT A-PILLAR

LIGHT TRUCK:
1996 ECONOLINE

ISSUE:
A windnoise may come from the A-pillar area on some vehicles. This may be due to air entering the drip rail from a small hole exposed in the end of the drip rail at the A-pillar causing the windnoise.

ACTION:
Apply clear silicone sealer (such as clear silicone rubber, D6AZ-19562-AA or equivalent) into the hole at the end of the drip rail into the rolled portion of the metal. Refer to Figure 1. Allow the sealer to cure for 3 hours before driving the vehicle. Replacing the windshield and/or adjusting the doors will not correct this concern.
