M15 Check For Intermittent Wiring Concern

NOTE: Turn the speaker or beeper of the Rotunda 88 Digital Multimeter 105-00053 or equivalent on to help indicate continuity.

- Install 60-pin breakout box and make sure the correct Econoline 4WABS overlay is installed.

- Monitor continuity between 60-pin breakout box Pin 34 Circuit 514 (Y/R) and Pin 8 Circuit 516 (Y/BK).

CAUTION: Prior to the drive test, stow right front brake antilock sensor connector safely away from the wheel and other moving components.

- Drive vehicle over rough road at various speeds.

- Monitor continuity between breakout box Pin 34 Circuit 514 (Y/R) and Pin 1 (ground).

- Drive vehicle over rough road at various speeds.

- Monitor continuity between breakout box Pin 8 Circuit 516 (Y/BK) and Pin 1 (ground)

- Drive vehicle over rough road at various speeds.

- Is continuity ever indicated in either of the three cases?

YES -- Find and repair source of wiring fault in Circuits 516 (Y/BK) and 514 (Y/R). Go to M16.

NO -- Replace right front brake antilock sensor. Go to M16.
