U3 Verify Antilock Brake Control Module Ground Is Intact

NOTE: For ground location refer to correct year Econoline Electrical and Vacuum Troubleshooting Manual.

- Inspect antilock brake control module ground eyelet in engine compartment for excessive dirt, corrosion or looseness. Clean and tighten as necessary.

- Disconnect negative battery terminal.

- Measure the resistance between Pins 1, 14, 27 and the ground stud.

- Is the resistance at all pins less than 5 ohms?

YES -- Grounds are OK. Go to U4.

NO -- Find and service high resistance in ground circuit. Repeat PC4.
