With Automatic Transmission

NOTES:

1. Typical diagnostic reference values are based on engine at normal operating temperature.
2. KOEO and HOT IDLE test values are recorded with vehicle in PARK position (A/T) or NEUTRAL position (M/T).
3. Before proceeding with monitor TIMING checks, monitor must be calibrated to BASE TIMING. (Adjust BASE TIMING knob on monitor.) BASE TIMING equals 10 degrees for all vehicles.
4. Vehicles with manual transmission (M/T) use one gear below top for their 30 mph values and top gear for their 55 mph values. Vehicles with automatic transmission (A/T) use D (OD for automatic overdrive transmissions) for 30 mph and 55 mph values.
5. Reference values shown in chart may differ between vehicles due to various factors: component tolerances, driving conditions, weather, etc. These values were recorded at approximately 600 feet altitude above sea level and ambient temperatures from 50 to 70 degrees F. Some EEC devices, such as IAT, ECT are temperature dependent and values may vary. Other values such as IAC and INJ are calibration dependent and may vary also.

These footnotes are referenced throughout the typical diagnostic reference value charts. A character appears in parenthesis next to a value indicating supplemental information is applicable. Reference values may vary +/- 20% depending on operating conditions and other factors. RPM values are axle and tire dependent.
(1) -- AC on.
(2) -- Clutch pedal depressed.
(3) -- Monitor in DCV Manual Mode, reference pin to PWR GND (40/60).
(4) -- 02S should switch from rich to lean at least once every 3 seconds. O2S voltage should toggle above and below 0.450 DCV and never be a negative value. Valid 02S switching only occurs during closed loop fuel control.
(5) -- Brake pedal depressed.
(c) -- If equipped.
