CAUTION: When servicing the exhaust system or removing exhaust components, disconnect all heated exhaust oxygen sensors at the wiring connectors to prevent damage to sensors and wiring harness.

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Remove the muffler and muffler inlet pipe, if applicable.
3. Disconnect the air inlet tube from the catalytic converter if applicable.
4. Remove exhaust manifold-to-catalytic converter nuts.
5. Remove the catalytic converter from the vehicle.
6. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten the exhaust manifold-to-catalytic converter nuts to 34-46 N.m (25-34 lb ft). Tighten the exhaust inlet pipe-to catalytic converter nuts to 34-46 N.m (25-33 lb ft).
