Throttle Cable/Linkage: Adjustments

When diagnosing wide-open throttle position, depress the accelerator pedal and shaft to the floor. If wide-open throttle is difficult to achieve, requiring excessive effort, check to make sure that aftermarket floormats have not been installed or mispositioned behind or under the accelerator pedal pad or shaft, which could result in restricted pedal movement.
