Cleaning and Inspection

1. Clean the air cleaner body and the cover with a mild detergent or compressed air.
2. Wipe the air cleaner and cover dry.
3. Inspect the air cleaner body and cover for distortion or damage at the gasket mating surfaces.
4. Replace a cover or body if it is damaged beyond service.
5. Check connections and ducts for air-tight fit.
6. Make sure that all clamps, flange connections and air cleaner mounting fasteners are tight.
7. Seal any leaks in the clean air ducting immediately, they permit dirt to enter the engine directly. All ducts from the engine air cleaner to engine, must be tight.
