Disc Backing Plate

REMOVAL
1. Remove the parking brake shoe and lining assembly.
2. Remove the rear wheel disc brake adapter.
3. Drill out the two rivets attaching the rear disc brake shield to the rear wheel disc brake adapter.
4. Remove the rear disc brake shield from the rear wheel disc brake adapter.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure. Seal the rivet holes with Silicone Rubber D6AZ-19562-AA or equivalent meeting Ford specification ESB-M4G92-A.

NOTE: Because the rear disc brake shield is held in position by the four adapter-to-axle bolts, new rivets are not required.
