Installation
1. CAUTION: Push the blower motor wheel onto the blower motor shaft by using the hub only. Pushing the blower motor wheel by the outside rim will cause the blower motor wheel to seat too far on the blower motor shaft.
CAUTION: A new retaining nut must be used to hold the blower motor wheel on the blower motor shaft.
Install the blower motor wheel on the blower motor shaft.
2. Install blower motor in the A/C blower housing.
3. Install the four blower motor screws and tighten to a minimum of 0.7 N.m (6 lb-in).
4. Connect the blower motor housing tube.
5. Install the A/C evaporator housing. Refer to the procedure in this section.
6. NOTE: When battery voltage is removed from the powertrain control module (PCM), all learned values will be cleared and reset to predetermined values. When battery voltage is restored to the PCM, the vehicle may exhibit certain driveability concerns. It will be necessary to drive the vehicle to allow the PCM to relearn values for optimum driveability and performance. Connect the battery ground cable.
7. Check A/C and heater systems for proper operation.
