Air Injection Control Valve: Service and Repair

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect vacuum hoses.
3. Disconnect the secondary air injection control solenoid vacuum valve electrical connector.
4. Slide the secondary air injection control solenoid vacuum valve off the mounting bracket.
5. To install, reverse removal procedures.

NOTE: When the battery is disconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the powertrain control module relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 miles) or more to relearn the strategy.
