EGR Control Solenoid: Service and Repair

Removal
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect vacuum hoses.
3. Disconnect the EGR vacuum regulator solenoid electrical connector.
4. Remove nuts and slide the EGR vacuum regulator solenoid off the mounting bracket.

Installation
1. Follow removal procedures in reverse order

NOTE: When the battery is disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 miles) or more to relearn the strategy.
