Ignition Rotor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Loosen screws and remove distributor cap with wires attached.
2. Remove distributor rotor by pulling upward on the distributor rotor from the distributor shaft.






CLEANING AND INSPECTION
1. Wash distributor rotor with soap and water.
2. Dry with compressed air.
3. Inspect and replace distributor rotor if cracks, carbon tracks, burns or damage to blade or spring are observed.

INSTALLATION

1. Align locating boss and fully seat distributor rotor on distributor shaft.
2. Reinstall distributor cap.
