Air Flow Meter/Sensor: Service and Repair

Mass Air Flow Sensor:

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor electrical connector.
3. Disconnect the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor connector.
4. Loosen the air cleaner tube clamp at the air cleaner to intake manifold tube.
5. Remove the engine air cleaner upper cover.
6. Remove the four MAF sensor bolts.
7. Remove the MAF sensor from the air cleaner upper cover.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
2. Tighten the MAF sensor bolts to 8-10 Nm (71-88 lb in).
3. Tighten the engine air cleaner tube clamps to 1.4-2.5 Nm (15-22 lb in).
