Throttle Position Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect the Throttle Position (TP) sensor electrical connector.
3. Remove the two TP sensor set screws and remove the TP sensor from the throttle body.

Throttle Position Sensor:

INSTALLATION
1. Open the throttle slightly to align tab A and tab B of the TP sensor to the throttle body.
2. Align the mounting holes and install the TP sensor.
3. Check that tab A and tab B are properly aligned.
4. Tighten the TP sensor set screws to 2 Nm (18 lb in).
5. Connect the TP sensor electrical connector. Refer to Adjustments to properly adjust the TP sensor.
6. Connect the battery ground cable.
