Compression Check: Specifications
AllData Editors Note - Ford does not provide a cranking pressure specification, only an acceptable range.Compression pressure check should be performed with engine at normal operating temperature with
spark plugs removed,
distributor connector disconnected and throttle wide open. Compression pressure should be
179 psi with a minimum of
142 psi.
