Electronic Brake Control Module: Description and Operation

The ABS module is located on the hydraulic control unit mounting bracket located outside of the engine compartment attached to the outside frame rail. It is an on-board diagnostic non-repairable unit, consisting of two microprocessors and the necessary circuitry for their operation. The ABS module monitors system operation during normal driving as well as during anti-lock braking.
