Autolock

The autolock feature will require the following series of events:
1. Ignition switch is in RUN/ACC and the autolock feature is activated.
2. All doors closed.
3. Stoplight switch is closed (brake pedal applied) and reverse lamp switch activated and then deactivated (shift lever passing out of REVERSE either back to PARK or NEUTRAL/DRIVE position).
4. Stoplight switch open (brake pedal released).

After these events have occurred, the doors are power locked. Relock will require the following series of events:
1. The autolock activation events have occurred
2. Door opened
3. All doors are then closed
4. Stoplight switch is closed (brake pedal applied)
5. Stoplight switch is opened (brake pedal released) After these events occur, the doors are power locked again.

The door may not automatically lock if the driver:
- shifts the transmission into gear without applying the brake pedal.
- shifts the transmission quickly into gear after starting the engine.
- releases the brake pedal before a door is closed.

To enable (or disable) the autolock feature, use the following steps or use the enabling and disabling features sequence.
1. Enter the five-digit permanent entry code into the keyless entry keypad.
2. Within five seconds of entering the code, press and hold the 7/8 button on the keyless entry keypad.
3. Within five seconds of Step 2, and while holding the 7/8 button, press the 3/4 button on the keyless entry keypad and release it.
4. Within five seconds of Step 3, release the 7/8 button on the keyless entry keypad.

To deactivate the autolock, repeat the above sequence.
