REMOVAL and INSTALLATION

NOTE: Recliner systems are modular and do not require customer or dealer adjustment or maintenance. In the event of hesitant or slow return of the seat back, lubricate only the recliner mechanism and power spring using Ford Multi-Purpose Grease D7AZ-19584-AA or equivalent meeting Ford specification ESB-M1C106-B and ESR-M1C159-A.

1. Remove front seat support stud covers.
2. Remove two bolts and two nuts retaining front seat track or support to floor pan.
3. Disconnect electrical connectors, if equipped.
4. Remove the front seat from vehicle.
5. Position the front seat upside down on a clean bench.
6. Remove nuts retaining seat support-to-front seat track. Remove seat support from front seat.
7. To install, reverse Removal procedure. Tighten front seat track or support-to-floor nut and washers to 47-63 Nm (35-46 lb-ft). Tighten front seat track or support-to-floor pan bolts to 19-26 Nm (14-19 lb-ft).
