Flow of Diagnosis
1. Verify the customer's concern by operating the power seat(s) to duplicate the condition.2. Inspect to determine if one of the following mechanical or electrical concerns apply:
VISUAL INSPECTION CHART
Mechanical
- Seat tracks obstructed.
- Seat at limit(s) of travel.
- Damaged front Seat back pad adjusting hose.
Electrical
- Open maxi-fuse power distribution box fuse F (60A).
- Loose, corroded or damaged connectors.
- Damaged seat regulator control switch.
- Damaged seat regulator motor.
3. If inspection reveals obvious concern(s) that can be readily identified, service as required.
4. If the concern(s) remains after the inspection, determine the symptom(s) and go to the Symptom Chart. Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
