Connectors, In-Line

CAUTION: Raise locking tab just enough to release connector halves. If locking tab breaks, that connector half must be replaced for reliable repair.







For connector with locking tab on one side only:
1. Insert a flat-blade screwdriver under locking tab and gently twist.
2. Grasp wires and pull to separate.







For connector with locking tab on both sides:
1. Insert a flat-blade screwdriver under the locking tab and gently twist.
2. Grasp wires and pull until locking tab is on the ramp.
3. Turn connector over and repeat procedure on opposite side.
4. Grasp wires and pull to separate.







For connector with thumb release locking tab:
1. Place thumb under locking tab and push up.
2. Grasp wires and pull to separate.







For radio speaker connectors:
1. Insert a small flat-blade screwdriver into locking tang of electrical connector for radio speaker.
2. Move screwdriver to disengage locking tang and pull connector straight off of radio speaker.







For connector with no tabs:
1. Grasp wires with both hands.
2. Pull to separate.
