LH Front Primary Crash Sensor and Bracket
REMOVAL1. Record USER 1 and USER 2 preset radio frequencies.
2. Disconnect battery ground cable.
WARNING: The electrical circuit necessary for system deployment is powered directly from the battery. To avoid accidental deployment and possible personal injury, the positive battery cable must be disconnected prior to servicing or replacing any system components.
3. Disconnect positive battery cable. Wait one minute for backup power supply to deplete its stored energy.
4. Remove upper radiator wiring trough.
5. Disconnect wiring retainer from LH front air bag sensor and bracket.
6. Remove two retaining screws and remove LH front air bag sensor and bracket.
INSTALLATION
WARNING: The electrical circuit necessary for system deployment is powered directly from the battery. To avoid accidental deployment and possible personal injury, the positive battery cable must be disconnected prior to servicing or replacing any system components.
1. Position LH front air bag sensor and bracket and wire lead in vehicle.
2. Secure LH front air bag sensor and bracket to upper radiator support with two primary crash sensor to center cowl retaining screws. Tighten to 10.2-13.8 Nm (70.8-122.1 lb in).
3. Connect wire lead connector to LH front air bag sensor and bracket and connect wiring retainer to fan shroud.
4. Install upper radiator wiring trough.
5. Reconnect positive battery cable.
6. Reconnect battery ground cable.
7. Prove out air bag system.
8. Reprogram USER 1 and USER 2 preset radio frequencies and set clock.
