Overdrive Switch: Description and Operation

The gearshift lever includes a transmission control switch (TCS) and an OVERDRIVE OFF indicator.
^ The system automatically engages the overdrive mode each time the ignition switch is turned to RUN.

^ Pressing the transmission control switch with the ignition switch in the RUN position locks out the OVERDRIVE mode and illuminates the OVERDRIVE OFF indicator.

^ Pressing the transmission control switch again permits the transaxle to shift into OVERDRIVE mode.
