Leakage Conditions

By careful observation, it is possible in many instances to pinpoint the source of transaxle leaks before removing the transaxle from the vehicle. However, it is important to clean the leaking area to identify the exact source.
- Inspect front wheel drive shaft joint boots for evidence of cracks, tears, or splits.
- Inspect differential oil seal for indications of leakage at the front wheel driveshaft joint.
