Multi-Function Switch Continuity Test

Check the continuity between the switch terminals. Either a self-powered test light or an ohmmeter can be used to test a standard two-speed switch. An ohmmeter must be used to test a switch used with the interval wiper system.

To detect marginal operation of the multi-function switch, move the lever while each reading is being taken.

If the multi-function switch does not exhibit continuity or if poor continuity exists in any switch position, replace the multi-function switch.
