Control Module HVAC: Service and Repair
REMOVALFIG. 22 Variable Blower Speed Controller (VBSC):
1. Open hood.
2. At dash panel, remove two nuts retaining fuel pressure regulator to cowl panel bracket
3. Locate A/C blower motor speed control in A/C evaporator core housing just below heater hoses at dash panel.
4. Disconnect the wire harness connector from the A/C blower motor speed control assembly.
5. Remove the two screws securing the A/C blower motor speed control to the A/C evaporator core housing assembly.
6. Remove the A/C blower motor speed control.
INSTALLATION
1. Position the A/C blower motor speed control assembly in the opening in the A/C evaporator core housing assembly.
2. Install the two screws retaining A/C blower motor speed control to A/C evaporator core housing.
3. Connect the A/C blower motor speed control wire harness connector.
4. Install fuel pressure regulator to cowl panel bracket. Tighten retaining nuts to 2-3 N.m (18-26 lb-in).
